Does the Interstage BPM simulation module support all BPMN models or there are restrictions? For example: you can't run simulations in models with cyclic activities with Tibco Business Studio.

The interstage BPM system can be programmed at two levels: UI and core.

Core programming is done withing the activities with either JavaScript or Java. The server can be extended with custom Java Actions: either POJO or EJB. It inclueds a standard set of actions which allow for calling web services, command line programs, and a other options. Actions are called synchronously, but it also has java extensions called "agents" which are called asynchronously.

At the UI level you have a number of other options for programming how a user interacts with a workitem, and that includes Java, JavaScript, JSP, simple HTML extension known as QuickForms, and a new AJAX form technology that allows for browser side integration.

Albin, that's really a question for Fujitsu. I do know, however, that you can call a web service from a process (as you can with any other BPM product), so you could write a web service in whatever your usual development language is, and call it from the process in order to read/write data or invoke a function in an external system.

Does this tool support custom coding inside a process if required? If yes what are the languages supported by the tool?
