Am I missing something? I requested to attend this free, IBM-sponsored event, which is taking place today a few blocks away from me, and was told by IT World Canada's "Audience Acquisition Coordinator" that it was for IT executives and by invitation only. The web page indicates that neither of those is true. Not sure why it would be beneficial to turn away a BPM blogger from a local BPM event; surely my blogging about it would benefit both IT World Canada and the sponsor/presenter, IBM?

Google (and others) create a set of tools to measure your internet connection. Unfortunately, they erroneously report that my ISP does not throttle torrents, which is woefully untrue.

Oracle announces single-tenancy SaaS for CRM OnDemand: you upgrade at the same time as the multi-tenancy SaaS, but have your own instance. $90/user/month versus $125/user/month for single-tenancy on your own upgrade schedule, a.k.a., outsourced hosting. $70/user/month for multi-tenant version. Further to the IT cost-cutting webinar that I blogged about earlier today, smaller companies (and even not so small ones) should be looking at multi-tenancy for maximum flexibility and minimum costs.
